A global dialogue titled "China`s Governance and Global Development," jointly organized by China Media Group (CMG), the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait, and the Kuwait-China Friendship Club, was held in Kuwait City on November 3 (local time).
Shen Haixiong, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President of CMG, addressed the event via video link. Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Yang Xin, alongside Princess Anood Al-Sabah, a member of the Kuwaiti royal family and Chairperson of the Kuwait-China Friendship Club, attended in person and delivered keynote addresses.
More than 100 distinguished guests representing various sectors across China and Kuwait engaged in an extensive exchange of views on China’s national governance experience, the strategic alignment of China-Kuwait development visions, and prospects for deepening pragmatic bilateral cooperation.
In his address, Shen Haixiong stressed that to understand contemporary China, one must first understand the Communist Party of China. He highlighted that a global public opinion survey conducted by CGTN of China Media Group revealed that respondents worldwide perceive the CPC as having developed an institutional and codified system to uphold and refine Party leadership, successfully translating it into effective national governance strengths. This, he noted, offers a workable governance pathway distinct from Western political party systems, presenting a resilient and superior party leadership paradigm for the international community.
