National security analyst & LDP central leader Lt. Gen. (retd.) Dr. Chowdhury Hasan Sarwardi Bir Bikram, Gano Dal Chairman ATM Golam Mawla Chowdhury, Labor Party Chairman Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran, Islami Oikya Jote Senior Vice Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Shawkat Amin, Bangladesh Jagrata Party Chairman Md. Ikramul Haque Khan, Bangladesh Muslim League Additional Secretary General Lion Alhaj Akbar Hossain Pathan, Sonar Bangla Party General Secretary Syed Harun Or Rashid, Bangladesh Sramik Federation General Secretary AAM Faiz Hossain, Muslim League Publicity Secretary Sheikh A Sabur were spoke at the event among national leaders. Justice Party Vice-President Rafiqul Islam, Secretary General Mr. Mansur Alam Sikder, Moyna Begum and among other central leaders of the party also spoke at the moment.
The speakers expressed their respective parties` opinions on the overall situation in the country and called for upholding national interests above all else. The speakers also said that it is not possible or appropriate to ignore reforms, justice and elections, and that patience should not be lost in the peaceful resolution of the crisis. The speakers called for a compromise in the national interest and the fastest possible active role in resolving the crisis, leaving aside misunderstandings and tear-jerking.
It is worth noting that the founding president of Bangladesh Justice Party, Barrister Syed Kamrul Islam Mohammad Salehuddin, directly participated in the anti-British movement, the language movement of 1952 and the anti-Ayub movement and was imprisoned several times.
He was exiled as a member of the National Council from the Faridpur-2 area in 1970, he was one of the organizers of the 1971 Liberation War. He was also a member of the Hono Parishad in 1972, and won the 1st National Parliament election as an independent candidate in 1973 against the Awami League Candidate. Syed Kamrul Islam, a vocal voice against Indian hegemony in parliament, officially started the party`s activities by establishing the Bangladesh Justice Party in 1981.
The previous three governments, including the autocratic Awami government did not register the Bangladesh Justice Party.
When the opportunity to conduct democratic politics arose in the post-autocratic Bangladesh on August 5, 2024, the Bangladesh Justice Party was reorganized and initiatives were taken for registration.
