  Expats send $32.80cr remittance in 5 days of August

The expatriate Bangladeshis sent around $32.80 crore in remittances in the first five days of August.

Bangladesh Bank’s executive director and spokesman Arif Hossain Khan confirmed the information on Wednesday, August 6.

The amount is $14.70 crore more than that of the same period of the last fiscal year when the country received about $18.10 crore, he said.

In July, the first month of FY25-26, the country received around $247.79 crore in remittances.

In just expired FY23-24, the expatriate Bangladeshis sent record $30.33 billion (about Tk 3,70,00,000 crore).
