Kashmir Solution Key to South Asia Peace’: Pak Armed Forces reaffirm stance on Youm-e-Istehsal

MT Desk: Pakistan’s military leadership renewed its message of solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), reaffirming support for what it described as the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
In a statement Armed Forces of Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF), Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, armed forces expressed united stance on Kashmir issue.
Armed Forces said Pakistan remains committed to supporting a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
Pakistan military leadership highlighted that lasting peace and stability in South Asia are closely linked to a fair and peaceful settlement of the Kashmir dispute, stressing the importance of addressing the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
Forces also paid tribute to those who lost their lives in IIOJK and acknowledged their sacrifices, while reiterating Pakistan’s continued support for the Kashmiri people.
Armed Forces further expressed concerns over the situation in IIOJK, including alleged human rights challenges, restrictions, and demographic changes, stating that such developments could contribute to regional tensions.
On Youm-e-Istehsal, Pakistan observes the day to reaffirm its position on the Kashmir dispute and highlight its call for a peaceful and lasting solution.
