Mother, daughters among 5 held with drugs in N`ganj

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested five individuals including a mother and her two daughters involved in drug trafficking at Modonpur area of Narayanganj on Thursday afternoon

The arrested individuals are Mohammad Aman alias Jibon, 54; Masud Rana, 25; Mosammat Jahanara Begum, 50, and her two daughters Mosammat Brishti, 19, and Mosammat Yasmin, 13.

In a press release on Friday morning, RAB-11 stated that preliminary investigation revealed the arrested individuals, along with the juvenile involved, were transporting illegal drugs from Cumilla. Acting on a tip-off, a RAB-11 operational team arrested the accused along with drugs. A regular case has been filed against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 with Bandar Police Station in Narayanganj.
