Kim Kardashian to testify in Paris robbery trial, ready to confront attackers
  Date : 09-05-2025

Kim Kardashian is preparing to testify in person next week at the Paris trial of the men accused of robbing her at gunpoint in 2016, her lawyers confirmed Monday.

The high-profile court appearance is set for May 13 and is expected to draw intense media attention.

"She is committed to attending in person the trial and to confronting those who attacked her. She will do so with dignity and courage," said her French legal team, Leonor Hennerick and Jonathan Mattout, speaking to AFP.

The ongoing trial, which began in late April, involves 10 suspects accused of carrying out what has been described in French media as the "heist of the century." The robbers stole around $10 million worth of jewellery, including a diamond ring given to Kardashian by her then-husband Kanye West.

On the night of October 2–3, 2016, Kardashian—then 35—was held at gunpoint and tied up in her luxury Paris hotel. The traumatic event led to increased scrutiny of celebrity security and had a lasting impact on the reality star.

Her lawyers declined to disclose details of her upcoming testimony, saying, “We want to give everyone the opportunity to hear her testimony in her own words.”

Those on trial are mostly men in their 60s and 70s with long criminal histories and colorful nicknames like “Old Omar” and “Blue Eyes,” evoking figures from classic French crime films.

Kardashian, who has been following the trial closely, expressed gratitude toward French authorities. Her legal team noted that she “will cooperate with the judicial process and answer all questions.”

The trial is scheduled to continue until May 23.
