Over the past 24 hours, 26 more people have been admitted to various hospitals across the country due to dengue fever.
This information was released in a dengue-related press release sent on Saturday (June 7) by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room.
The report states that among the dengue patients hospitalized in the last 24 hours, 3 are from the Chattogram division (outside city corporation areas), 10 from the Dhaka division (outside city corporation areas), 4 from Dhaka North City Corporation, 7 from Dhaka South City Corporation, and 2 from the Mymensingh division (outside city corporation areas).
During this period, 17 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals. So far this year, a total of 4,486 patients have been discharged.
A total of 4,930 people have been infected with dengue so far this year. Of these, 59.5% are male and 40.5% are female.
No deaths due to dengue were reported in the last 24 hours. However, a total of 23 people have died from dengue this year.
It`s worth noting that from January to December 31, 2024, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue, and 575 deaths occurred due to dengue during the same period.
