Landslide in Sylhet Kills Four from Same Family

Four members of the same family have died in a landslide in Golapganj, Sylhet. The deceased are the parents and their two children.

The accident occurred around 3:15 AM on Saturday night (May 31) in the Bakhtiarganj area of Lakshanabandh Union No. 7 in the upazila.

Local UP Chairman Kholkur Rahman confirmed the incident, stating, "We received news last night that four members of the same family were trapped under a landslide. It is still believed that there might be more people under the house. The number of casualties could increase."

The Golapganj Fire Service is currently conducting rescue operations at the scene. The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Golapganj Police Station stated that the actual situation cannot be confirmed until the rescue efforts are complete.
