Mild to moderate heatwave sweeps over parts of Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today reported that a moderate heat wave is sweeping Dinajpur and Nilphamari, while a mild heat wave affects Khulna division, parts of Rangpur, and the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Feni, and Patuakhali.

Rain or thundershowers with gusty winds are likely in many areas, with chances of heavy rainfall in some places.

Day temperatures may drop by 1–2°C. Dimla recorded the highest temperature at 38.8°C, and Feni saw the highest rainfall at 115 mm in the last 24 hours.

The sunset today at 06.47pm and rises at 05.11am tomorrow in the capital.
