kamrul Hasan: Various programs were celebrated with due dignity and deep solemnity at the traditional Garpara Imambari Darbar Sharif in Manikganj on the occasion of holy Ashura. On Saturday (July 6), at 5 pm, a Tazia procession with the participation of thousands of devotees and worshippers set out from the Imambari premises.

In the procession, the participants carried the symbolic `Tazia` built in memory of Imam Hossain (RA), his vehicle `Duldul` and the `Nishan`, a memorial of the Battle of Karbala. At that time, the entire area was shaken by the sound of `Hai Hossain, Hai Imam`.

This Tazia procession, which was about 10 kilometers long, started from Garpara Imambari, passed through Manikganj bus stand and ended at the Government Devendra College ground in the district town. A religious discussion meeting was held there.

Thousands of ordinary people gathered on both sides of the road to enjoy the view surrounding the Tazia procession. The entire event was filled with grief, respect, and spiritual emotion.
