District Administration has evicted 33 illegal structures from government land during an operation at Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj district on Thursday.

According to district administration, an influential group had been constructing illegal structures on the roadside in the market area and renting them out to traders for many years.

District administration previously informed them to remove these illegal structures.

After the time limit, an operation was launched, eventually evicting 33 illegal structures from the government land on Thursday morning and continuing until noon.

Gopalganj District Commissioner`s office Executive Magistrate Ronti Poddar confirmed the incident.
