Md Mijanur rahman Akanda, Phulpur: Police have recovered a huge quantity of fish food and soybean oil in Phulpur, Mymensingh. The goods were recovered from Barashuni village of Bhaitkandi union of the upazila in a raid conducted late on Thursday night and on Friday morning from the village.
It is learnt that a police team from Bogra came to Phulpur based on the information that the fish food from the lost transport from Sherpur in Bogra was in Phulpur. Later, a police team from Bogra and the Phulpur police conducted a raid in coordination with the Phulpur police and recovered 320 bags of nutritious fish food and a huge quantity of soybean oil. The recovered goods were hidden by a person named Israfil from Amoil village of the neighboring Haluaghatupazila in a rented shop in Barashuni village, near his in-laws` house.
Phulpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Abdul Hadi said that a case has been filed against Israfil and his brother at the Bogra Police Station in the said incident. The fish food was taken away by the transport owner from Bogra. The soybean oil is in the custody of the Phulpur police station.
