Islami Chhatra Shibir has announced a complete panel of candidates under the banner ‘Shompreeti Shikkharthi Jote’ for the upcoming Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU) and hall union elections, scheduled for 12 October.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the university’s Jarultola area on Thursday afternoon.

The full panel was revealed by Saidul Islam, Central Human Resource Secretary of Chhatra Shibir.

Ibrahim Hossain Rony, a student of History Department and current president of Chhatra Shibir’s Chattogram Metropolitan South unit, was nominated for the post of Vice President (VP).

Said Bin Habib, also from History Department and serving as Literary Secretary of CU Shibir, was nominated for the post of General Secretary (GS), while Sajjad Hossain Munna, a student of Finance Department, was announced as candidate for Assistant General Secretary (AGS).

Other positions were also filled with nominees for roles related to sports, culture, publications, administration, welfare, research, environment, health, liberation war affairs, career development, housing, legal affairs and more.

Among the candidates were Md Shawon, Shahporan Maruf, Harejul Islam, Jihad Hossain, Abdullah Al Noman, Jannatul Adan, Nahima Akter, Jannatul Ferdous, Mahbubur Rahman, Tanvir Anjum, Tahsina Rahman, Afnan Hasan, Monayem Sharif, Mehedi Hasan, Ishaq Bhuiyan, Obaidul Salman, Tawhid Rabbi and Masum Billah.

For the executive member posts, the panel nominated Jannatul Ferdous Sanjida, Salman Farsi, Akash Das, Sohanur Rahman and Adnan Sharif.

Leaders and activists from both the central and university branches of Chhatra Shibir were present at the event.
