BSRF executive committee meets Adviser Mahfuj Alam

(BSS) – Members of the executive committee of Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters’ Forum (BSRF) met with Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md Mahfuj Alam this afternoon at his ministry in Bangladesh Secretariat here.

During the meeting, BSRF President Masudul Hque informed the adviser that the Ministry of Public Administration had earlier decided to provide healthcare services to journalists working at the Secretariat beat with accreditation cards through the Secretariat clinic.

Although a letter was sent to the Department of Health Services on December 22, 2024, requesting necessary measures to this end, but the decision is yet to be implemented, he said.

In this regard, Masudul Hoque sought the adviser’s cooperation for the introduction of healthcare facilities for the accredited journalists.

He also requested that journalists with accreditation cards be allowed to enter the Secretariat through Gate No. 5, in addition to Gate No. 1.

In response, Adviser Md. Mahfuj Alam assured that the proposals made by the BSRF president would be considered sincerely.

BSRF Vice-President Mynul Hossain Pinnu, General Secretary Ubaidullah Badol and members of the executive committee, were present at the meeting.
