Kamrul Hasan : An emergency meeting of the Executive Council of JIA Cyber Force has been held to accelerate the implementation of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s declared 31-point roadmap for state structure reform, strengthen organizational preparedness for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, and enhance the effectiveness of digital and cyber-based activities. The meeting was held on Monday (17 November) evening at the organization’s central office in Gulshan.
The meeting was presided over by K.M. Harun-or-Rashid, President of the Central Executive Committee of JIA Cyber Force, and moderated by Mia Mohammad Rajibul Islam, Acting General Secretary. Former Revolutionary General Secretary Rabiul Awal Talukder Rabi attended the meeting as the keynote speaker.
At the meeting, strategic plans were discussed to implement the 31-point political campaign and to strengthen digital communication and promotional activities in favour of BNP-endorsed candidates in the upcoming national election. Following the discussion, the decision to form the Dhaka South Metropolitan Convening Committee of JIA Cyber Force was finalized.
Newly Announced 8-Member Convening Committee
Convener: Mohammad Jahangir Hossain, Senior Joint Convener: Md. Nasir Uddin, Member Secretary: Md. Azharul Islam Rubel. Joint Conveners: Md. Zainal Hossain, Jasim Uddin Kishore. Executive Members: Ashiqur Rahman Apu, Rakib Hasan, Md. Taizul.
Following the announcement, President K.M. Harun-or-Rashid said:
“A new chapter of political transformation has begun under BNP’s leadership. To ensure the full implementation of the 31-point reform roadmap and to achieve victory for the sheaf of paddy symbol in the upcoming national election, party activists must remain united.”
He further stated: “Certain vested groups are attempting to disrupt the election by creating instability across the country. The responsibility of cyber activists is to counter misinformation, strengthen democratic political messaging, and inspire organizational unity by eliminating internal divisions.”
Meanwhile, newly appointed Convener Mohammad Jahangir Hossain remarked:
“This committee will play a leading role in implementing the 31-point reform agenda, organizational strengthening, and election-oriented digital campaigning.”
Also present at the meeting were Md. Ruhul Amin, Office Secretary, along with leaders from the central, district, and north–south metropolitan levels.
Political observers consider the formation of this committee a strategic move aimed at strengthening online election campaigns, communication strategies, and narrative management ahead of the upcoming national election. They note that digital political engagement is increasingly becoming a crucial element in modern party-based strategy and mobilization.
