KCC begins drives to collect arrear holding taxes

(BSS) - Khulna City Corporation (KCC) began asset attachment drives today aiming to collect huge holding tax arrears in the city.

On the first day of drives, a mobile team led by its Executive Magistrate Kohinur Zahan conducted drives at Munna Tower of KDA Avenue-- holding no-47 and no-52 of Khanjahan Ali Road and holding no- 48/3 of Ahsan Ahmed Road-- in the city, said a press release issued by Public Relations Department of the KCC.

KCC Collector of Taxes Md Abdul Mazed Molla, its Deputy Collector Kazi Md Imrul Hasan, Nuruzzaman Talukder and Jannatul Ferdous, among others, were present during the drive.

"The drives will continue to implement the city`s ongoing development and civic activities," said the press release, adding that the holding owners of the KCC have been requested to pay their arrear holding taxes to avoid such an unwanted situation.
