Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus is holding a meeting tonight (Monday) with four political parties at the state guesthouse Jamuna in Dhaka, as part of ongoing political crisis.
The meeting began at 9:00pm and includes senior representatives from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, the Nationalist Citizen Party (NCP), and Islami Andolan Bangladesh.
BNP is represented by its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury. From Jamaat-e-Islami, Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Assistant Secretary General Hamidur Rahman Azad are attending.
NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain are also present, along with Islami Andolan Bangladesh Presidium Member Professor Ashraf Ali Akon and Joint Secretary General Gazi Ataur Rahman.
The agenda of the meeting has not been officially disclosed.
