Singer Abhi Talukdar, famous for the song "Dayal," has lent his voice to a film song for the first time. While well-known in the audio music scene, this marks his debut as a playback singer for cinema. The song, titled "Bhalobashi" (I Love You), is featured in the film *Dhaka 1205*; it was penned by Rezaur Rahman Rizvi and composed by the film’s director, Walid Ahmed. This project brings the three of them together for the first time. The music arrangement for the track was handled by Rubel Flyingkites.
Reflecting on this, Abhi Talukdar said, "I have been singing in the audio industry for over a decade, but the opportunity to sing for a film had never come my way. I am grateful to Walid Bhai for placing his trust in me for his film’s song. I hope the audience will enjoy this romantic track."
Notably, Abhi Talukdar first gained recognition in 2006 with the song "Dayal Tomar Lagiya Jogini Sajbo"—written by Poran Fokir, composed by Nabin Chandra Rajbongshi, and featuring music by Balam. The song was released by G-Series on the album *Prem Shikari*. Other popular songs performed by Abhi include "Preme Mora Jole Dube Na," "Bondhu Ki Ashibe Phiriya," "Sona Bondhure," "Khachar Bhitor Ochin Pakhi," and "Murshid."
Meanwhile, the film *Dhaka 1205*—which explores the realities, dreams, struggles, love, and heartbreak of urban life—stars Ashna Habib Bhabna and Rakib Hossain as the lead pair. Produced under the banner of Sadamata Entertainment, the film was shot across various locations, including Uttara, Old Dhaka, and Nawabganj. Production is currently in its final stages. If all goes according to plan, *Dhaka 1205* is set to hit the big screen during the Eid festival next year.
