Moderate cold wave with fog forecast across Bangladesh

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted predominantly dry weather with occasional partly cloudy skies across the country for the next 72 hours, starting Wednesday morning.

Light to moderate fog is expected in various regions during midnight to early morning hours, according to the BMD`s update.

Nighttime temperatures are likely to remain steady, while daytime temperatures may experience a slight drop in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. In other regions, temperatures are expected to remain relatively unchanged.

In the past 24 hours, the highest temperature recorded was 30°C in Sitakunda, Chattogram, while the lowest was 9.03°C in Tetulia, Panchagarh, as of early Wednesday morning.

Residents are advised to prepare for cooler conditions, especially in the northern regions, as the cold wave persists.
