  Standard Chartered Bangladesh appoints Morshed Ullah as Head of Legal

Standard Chartered Bangladesh has appointed Morshed Ullah as Head of Legal. Morshed will also join Standard Chartered Bangladesh’s Country Management Team.

Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Chief Executive Officer, Standard Chartered Bangladesh, said,“We are pleased to announce Morshed as our new Head of Legal at Standard Chartered Bangladesh. He has been a vital part of our team, demonstrating in-depth industry knowledge and leadership ability. I am confident that he will continue to play an important role in navigating the evolving economic and regulatory landscape and supporting our journey of driving sustainable growth in Bangladesh.”

Morshed joined the Bank as Legal Counsel in 2014 and most recently held the role of Head Legal, Corporate & Investment Banking. Prior to this, he worked in Airtel Bangladesh Limited, Warid Telecom Int’l LLC, practised law in the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and also served as a civil judge of the subordinate judiciary of Bangladesh. Morshed has overall 21 years of professional experience.

Morshed completed his Master of Law from University of Dhaka and also holds an Islamic Finance Level-3 Qualification from Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI).
