Faruk Ahmed, Magura: The day-long Upazila Administration Debate Festival-2025 was inaugurated by the Sadar Upazila Administration in Magura.
On Friday, a colorful rally from the Magura District Administration premises circled the city and ended at Nomani Maidan. Students from 25 secondary schools in Magura Sadar Upazila participated in it.
After the rally, the inaugural ceremony held at the district auditorium was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md. Ohidul Islam. Bangladesh Television Director General Md. Mahbubul Alam was the chief guest. National Debate Federation Bangladesh (NDFB) Chairman AKM Shoaib was present as the main debater at the ceremony, and MDFB Khulna region special debater Taqdirul Gani was the special debater. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Hasibul Hasan delivered the welcome speech.
Magura Sadar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Abdur Rahim, headmasters of various schools, and others were also present.
The day-long festival included an international children`s debate competition for primary school children, traditional school debate and impromptu debate competitions for secondary school students. Students from 26 debate clubs participated in the event. The event was supported by the Magura Adarsh ??Debate Association. The organization`s chairman, Nahidur Rahman Durjoy, conducted the event. A delightful cultural program was presented at the end of the day-long debate festival.
