  Rahat Hossain of Pratidin Bangladesh wins Best Urban Reporting Award

Online Desk: Rahat Hossain, a reporter for Pratidin Bangladesh, has won the Best Urban Reporting Award-2025. He received the award in the service and public suffering category for his special report `Homeo charity treatment in South City is silently disappearing`. The award carries a value of Tk 50,000.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Advisor to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, officially handed over the award at the CIRDAP auditorium in the capital on Saturday.

The Urban Development Journalist Forum, Bangladesh, organizes this award every year. This time, six journalists were awarded in five categories.

This time, Business Standard journalist Zahidul Islam won the award in the urban planning category (online and print), Daily Sun senior reporter Rashedul Hasan won the award in the service organization irregularities and corruption category, TV Now`s Delwar Hossain Dolan and Bangla Vision`s Kefayet Shakil jointly won the award in the television category, and Independent TV journalist Nazmul Sayeed won the award in the investigative category.
