Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus does not have any property of his own, said his Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam.
"So far, I know, he (Yunus) doesn`t have any property of his own. He has no personal car.
Shafiqul Alam made this comment while responding to reporters at a programme at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Monday.
"Dr Yunus wanted to set up a rural university between 2012-14. In 2014, he bought 2-3 hundred bighas of land in Purbachal. Then, every time he took the application to the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, they said, "Don`t submit the application. We won`t be able to give permission." Now, after auditing for the last 6 months, the university has been approved."
