Tulip Siddiq Misses Opportunity to Defend Herself
  Date : 17-05-2025

Tulip Siddiq, a British Member of Parliament and niece of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is currently believed to have fled to India, has missed her opportunity to defend herself in an ongoing corruption investigation.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has announced that it will seek the assistance of Interpol to bring her back to Bangladesh.

ACC Chairman, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen, made the comments to reporters on Wednesday, May 14th.

The ACC had previously summoned Siddiq to appear at its headquarters in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, at 10:00 AM on May 14th, regarding allegations of abuse of power and illegal acquisition of benefits.
