3 killed as freight tractor overturns in Rangamati

Three workers lost their lives and another sustained injuries when a six-wheeler freight tractor overturned in the Arjapur area of Baghaichhari upazila, Rangamati, on Thursday afternoon.

According to Baghaichhari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shirin Akhter, the accident occurred while the vehicle was transporting goods. It flipped over on the road, instantly killing three workers at the scene and injuring one.


The injured individual was promptly taken to the local upazila health complex for treatment.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed.

Md. Humayun Kabir, Officer-in-Charge of Baghaichhari Police Station, confirmed the incident and said that further legal procedures will be carried out after the recovery of the bodies.
