Online Report : A Turkish Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital on Tuesday morning after pilot noticed sparks in one of its engines.
According to the airport sources, a Turkish plane, with 290 passengers, left the airport for Istanbul around 7AM on Tuesday. But within 15 minutes, the pilot found sparks in one of its engines and decided to land immediately.
The flight then circled in the sky for about an hour and a half, burning fuel, and made an emergency landing at 8:15AM.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
All passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft following the landing.
