Circular for 48th special Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations has been published.

Some 2,700 assistant surgeons and 300 assistant dental surgeons will be recruited through this special BCS.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) published the circular on its website on Thursday afternoon, May 29.

PSC said there will be no subject based written test in the 48th special BCS. The exams will be of total 300 marks - MCQ 200 and viva voce 100.

The Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday, May 27, issued a gazette notification, amending the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Rules 2014 to facilitate a special BCS examination.

According to sources in the ministry, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been instructed to arrange the special BCS to recruit 683 lecturers for the education cadre and 3,030 doctors for entry-level positions in the health cadre. The rule amendment was made as part of this recruitment process.
