Warning signal lowered in ports, rains likely across country
  Date : 02-06-2025

Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox`s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to lower signal.

Squally weather is unlikely over all maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh, according to the latest bulletin of the Met Office.

The well-marked low-pressure system that brought continuous rain across Dhaka and the rest of Bangladesh has now weakened significantly.

According to the Met Office, there is no forecast for heavy rainfall in the coming days but light drizzles are still expected.

The southwest monsoon has set in over Bangladesh and it is currently fairly active across the country and moderate over the North Bay, the bulletin said.
