  Date : 08-07-2025

Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, has said that inflation is declining rapidly due to the well-thought-out policies and strategies of the interim government.

He shared the information in a post from his verified Facebook account on Monday (July 7).

In the post, he wrote: “As a result of the interim government’s well-considered policies and strategies, inflation is decreasing rapidly. According to data for June 2025, the point-to-point inflation rate stands at 8.48 percent, which is two percentage points lower than in August 2024.”

He further stated that food inflation has dropped significantly to 7.39 percent — the lowest in two years. Non-food inflation has also begun to decline and is expected to fall more rapidly in the near future.
