Two more die of dengue, 337 new cases reported in 24hrs

Online Report : Two more people have died from dengue fever in the past 24 hours, while 337 new cases have been reported across Bangladesh, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday.Bangladesh tourism guide

The two deaths reported raise this year`s total dengue death toll to 54. One of the deceased was from outside Chattogram City Corporation, while the other was a resident of Dhaka South City Corporation.

Among the newly hospitalized patients, Barishal Division (outside the city corporation) recorded the highest number with 101 cases, followed by Chattogram Division (outside the city corporation) with 58 cases.

Other divisions reported the following numbers; Dhaka Division (outside the city corporation) with 41, Dhaka North City Corporation with 26, Dhaka South City Corporation with 50, Khulna Division with 28, Mymensingh Division with 5, Rajshahi Division with 27 and Sylhet Division with 1.

In the same 24-hour period, 366 patients were discharged from hospitals.

Since the beginning of the year, 12,591 dengue patients have recovered and been released from hospitals.

As of July 10, a total of 13,931 people have been infected with dengue in 2024. Of these, 59.2% are male and 40.8% female.
