(BSS) - An emergency meeting of the Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held at the organization`s central office in Moghbazar on Thursday afternoon.
The meeting, chaired by the organization`s Nayeb Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman, discussed the prevailing political situation in the country in detail.
The meeting emphasized that the main objective of the July-August mass uprising was to build a fascism-free Bangladesh, providing a legal basis for the July Charter and holding the next elections based on the July Charter.
It called upon the people to play a united role in implementing the 7-point demands announced by Jamaat-e-Islami.
The organization`s Nayeb Ameer, Secretary General, Assistant Secretary General and Central Executive Council members were present at the meeting.
