The death toll from Monday’s Bangladesh Air Force plane crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Uttara has climbed to 31, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) at 2:15pm Tuesday.
Among the deceased, 16 died at Combined Military Hospital, 10 at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, two at Lubana General Hospital, and one each at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Uttara Adhunik Medical College Hospital, and United Hospital.
Additionally, 165 people were injured in the crash.
The ISPR urged the public not to believe in rumors and confirmed this as the latest official casualty count.
The crash occurred around 1:30pm Monday when a BAF F-7 aircraft crashed into the college building shortly after takeoff.
