Two alleged drug peddlers were arrested with Yaba pills from Fulbari upazila in Dinajpur district on Thursday night.
The arrested were identified as Shah Alam, 40, a resident of Dhanaidahpara in Lalpur upazila under Natore district and Sanjida Yasmin, 20, a resident of Notun Ruppur village under Ishurdi upazila in Pabna district.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of police led by OC conducted a drive at Baraitari area in the upazila and arrested the duo with drugs and cash money.
Police also seized 2368 pieces of Yaba pills and Tk 7600 in cash from their possessions.
Fulbari Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Abdus Salam confirmed the incident and said that the arrested has been sent to jail after lodging a case against them under Narcotics Control Act.
