Martial Art Closing Ceremony for women and children held in Tongi

Syed Atik, Gazipur: The closing ceremony of the 2025 batch of martial arts training program conducted by World Vision AP Bangladesh for self-defense of women and children was held at Tongi Banmala Sadia Community Center on Thursday.

Women and children of Tongi Urban area have been provided self-defense training through this program continuously for four years.

Senior Program Officer of Tongi Urban Program, World Vision Bangladesh, Kamnashish Nakrek was present as the chief guest at the program. IKU Bangladesh General Secretary Sensei Abdullah Al Mamun, Headmaster of Haji Peer Government Primary School Rebecca Sultana were also present at the moment.

The trainees demonstrated various self-defense techniques at the closing ceremony. The guests termed this training program as a timely and commendable initiative and emphasized its role in increasing the safety and confidence of women and children. At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to those who successfully completed the training.
