The Betrayal of Gaza by the Arab Leaders

Dr. Firoz Mahboob Kamal: It is despicable that the leaders of the Gulf States totally ignored the plight of the people of Gaza. Everyday Israel is killing people there. And everyday homes are getting destroyed there. And everyday the hungry men, women and children stay without food and drink there. The situation is heartbreaking, but the Gulf leaders look heartless. They showed little concern to stop the genocide there.

It is shocking that during the recent visit of President Donald Trump, the Palestinian issue was not on the table of discussion. President Trump was interested only to get more money from the Gulf States. And the Gulf leaders readily gave money as much as President Trump wanted. These slavish leaders don`t possess any guts to say no to this American king.

These spineless leaders showed their only concern about their own security. Protecting the lives of the Palestinians doesn`t look to be an issue for them.

It is a great shame that the Palestinian leader Mahmood Abbas was invisible on the political stage. It looks he is in deep slumber while his own people need strong leadership on the global stage. The Arab leadership looks in dismal failure. What could be the worst Arab betrayal of the Palestinian cause than this?
