Tokyo Consultation Boosts Japan-Bangladesh Strategic Cooperation

On May 15, in Tokyo, Japan, the 6th Japan-Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Level Consultation was held between Mr AKAHORI Takeshi, Senior Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs with other participants from the Japan side, and Dr Md Nazrul Islam, Secretary (East), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the People`s Republic of Bangladesh with other participants from the Bangladeshi side.

At the consultation, the two sides confirmed that they will further strengthen the bilateral relationship in a wide range of areas, including security, economy, economic cooperation, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, under the " Japan-Bangladesh Strategic Partnership", and exchanged views on international issues and regional situations.
