Young tigresses stun England in warm-up ahead of WC

Bangladesh Women`s U-19 cricket team achieved a historic victory over England in their second warm-up match before the Women`s U-19 T20 World Cup, marking their first-ever win against England in women`s cricket at any level.

The thrilling encounter, held in Kuala Lumpur, ended in a dramatic Super Over.

England, batting first after winning the toss, posted a total of 113 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The Bangladeshi bowlers delivered a disciplined performance, keeping England’s scoring in check.

In response, Bangladesh required just one run off the final ball of their innings with one wicket in hand. However, a dramatic turn of events saw Nishita Akter run out, pushing the match into a Super Over.

During the Super Over, Sadia Akter starred for Bangladesh, scoring 8 crucial runs off 3 balls, including a six, helping her team post 11 runs. Left-arm spinner Courtin Coleman bowled for England in the tense over.

Bangladesh’s pacer Habiba Akter rose to the occasion, delivering a brilliant Super Over. England needed 4 runs off the final delivery, but Prisha Tanawala managed only 2 runs, handing Bangladesh a thrilling 2-run victory.
