Polls open for Poland`s presidential election runoff

(BSS/AFP) - Polling stations opened in Poland on Sunday for a tight presidential election runoff that will have major implications for the country`s role in Europe, and for abortion and LGBTQ rights.

Opinion polls have predicted an extremely close race with nationalist historian Karol Nawrocki and pro-EU Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski neck and neck ahead of the vote, which closes at 9:00 pm (1900 GMT).
