Human chain protesting BNP leader Bablu`s propaganda in Manikganj

kamrul Hasan : Followers of late BNP Secretary General Khondaker Delwar Hossain`s eldest son and district BNP convening committee member Dr. Khondaker Akbar Hossain Bablu recently made propaganda and ugly statements about BNP central committee executive member, district BNP convening committee senior member and Manikganj-1 constituency paddy sheesh nomination aspirant

SA Jinnah Kabir in a human chain.

In protest, a protest procession organized by the public along with the Upazila BNP and all its affiliated organizations left the Ghior residence area around 12 noon on Saturday. After the protest procession, a human chain program was held at the police station premises.

Upazila BNP President Mir Manikuzzaman Manik presided over the Upazila BNP Joint General Secretary Md. Jane Alam, Local and Government Affairs Secretary Md. Raja Mia, Upazila Jubo Dal Convener Md. Masudur Rahman Masud, Member Mirza Salem, Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Md. Shawkat Ali Khan and other leading figures of Ghior, Daulatpur and Shibaloi spoke.

The speakers alleged that on the orders of Dr. Khondaker Akbar Hossain Bablu, his followers have deliberately presented false and ugly statements against a popular leader like SA Jinnah Kabir with the intention of defaming him in the party. This is part of a conspiracy to divide the BNP ahead of the upcoming national elections.

They also claimed that severe erosion has occurred in the riverbank areas due to illegal excavation of soil by Bablu`s followers in Ghior and Daulatpur. Because of this, about 400 families have become homeless. They are living an inhuman life by stretching polythene on the side of the government road, homeless. At this time, it is the moral responsibility of the nationalist party BNP, as the largest political party in the country, to stand by the helpless people. Not to create obstacles. They also believe that such activities of theirs are against the 31-point plan to repair the state structure announced by the country`s hero Tarique Rahman.

At this time, the speakers demanded exemplary punishment for Bablu`s associates Shahidul Islam Chandu, Jewel, Selim, etc.

Regarding the allegations, Dr. Khondaker Akbar Hossain Bablu said, `If Khondaker Delwar`s family is an ally of the Awami League, then are those who run the BNP also guilty? Jinnah Saheb will not be able to show evidence that any of my followers are involved in illegal sand or soil business. He is spreading propaganda without evidence.’

He also claimed that the recent human chain against Jinnah Kabir was initiated by senior leaders of Ghior, and he had no involvement.

He also opined that there was no BNP member in Saturday’s human chain, and that people were hired to form the human chain.

It is worth noting that on August 28, Dr. Khondaker Bablu’s followers formed a human chain against Jinnah Kabir and made ugly statements.
