There is no alternative to Tarique Rahman in transforming Manikganj into a modern district — Rita

Kamrul Hasan: Afroza Khanum Rita, member of the Advisory Council of the BNP Chairperson and convener of Manikganj district BNP, remarked that the country has been freed from autocracy today due to the leadership, guidance, and visionary thinking of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman and National Leader Tarique Rahman. She said, “There is no alternative to Tarique Rahman in safeguarding independence and democracy, establishing the rights of the people, and building a prosperous Bangladesh. His blueprint is the guiding force of the country’s politics today.” She made these comments while addressing party activists during a meeting of the Executive Committee organized by the district BNP at her political office in the Gilond Munnusity area of Manikganj Sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon. Among those present at the meeting were Advocate Azad Hossain Khan, Advocate A.F.M. Nurtaj Alam Bahar PP, Satyen Kanta Pandit Bhajan, Golam Abedin Kaiser, Advocate Zahid Alam Khan Lodi, Golam Kibria Saeed, Abdus Salam Badal, Rafiqul Bhuiyan Habu, Asaduzzaman Khan Dolon, Advocate Arif Hossain Liton, Riaz Mahmud Harez, Tuhinur Rahman Tuhin, district women’s wing president Sabiha Habib, district volunteer wing convener Advocate Jinnah Khan, district student wing president Abdul Khalek Shuvo, general secretary Sirajur Rahman Khan Sajeeb, and other prominent leaders. Afroza Khanum Rita said, “Tarique Rahman’s declared 31-point program for state structure reform is not merely a political pledge—it is the main vehicle for reclaiming the rights of the people and transforming the nation into a developed, prosperous, and modern state.” She added, “Under Tarique Rahman’s visionary leadership, the movement to restore democracy has gained new momentum. The people are now ready for change. Therefore, ensuring the victory of the ‘Dhaner Sheesh’ symbol is the demand of the times for the sake of the nation and the country.” Rita also stated, “The caretaker government has announced the roadmap for national elections in the first half of February. However, an anti-independence group is conspiring to sabotage the election. They are trying to endanger democracy through various acts of disruption.” Addressing party activists, she urged, “We must build a united public opinion against these negative forces. Forgetting divisions, we must strengthen every level of the organization shoulder to shoulder; only then will the victory of ‘Dhaner Sheesh’ in Manikganj be ensured.” At one point in her speech, Afroza Khanum Rita said, “Manikganj, known as a BNP stronghold, has immense development potential. To transform this district into a modern and model district, it is essential to follow Tarique Rahman’s vision for development and his political wisdom. Under his leadership, Manikganj can be transformed into a self-reliant, technology-driven, and citizen-friendly district.” She prayed for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and for the good health and longevity of National Leader Tarique Rahman, adding, “If we move forward united, forgetting all divisions, it will be possible to realize the Bangladesh envisioned by the martyred President Ziaur Rahman.”
