The Narcotics Control Department arrested a suspected drug peddler along with Yaba pills from Rupsha upazila in Khulna on Saturday.

The arrested was identifed as Syed Julfikar Ali Liton, 49.

A team of the department, acting on a tip off, conducted a drive in a Khulna bound bus belonging to Imad Paribahan and arrested him, said Khulna Narcotics Control Department Deputy Director Md Mizanur Rahman.

They also recovered 1,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from his possession.

A case was lodged against Liton with Rupsha Police Station under Narcotics Control Act, he added.
